For this purpose I took the hard way, because why not? I cut open a Nivea body lotion bottle, scanned it, mapped the blueprint and created a completely life-like 3D model.
Why Nivea? It is a well-known, reputable brand which is recognised and liked by many. In my virtual studio I wanted to show how you can play with the lights and take the design further than in your usual catalogue picture: add a little bit of splash here and there for a refreshed and enhanced look.
3D visualisation can be expensive, but not so much as trying to capture these kind of moments by the camera. But if you optimise the elements in the 3D environment for the purposes of your need (multiple decade old brands’ campaigns season by season, new message, new environment or slightly different target group), then the streamlined 3D production line can bring serious cost efficiency. And all this done by one person instead of an army of equipments, not to mention the photographer, photographer’s assistant, retoucher, stylist etc.
